It is my unpleasant duty to inform you of the death of our classmate, Alexander S, “Sandy”: Cochran on February 7, 2023.
Sandy was exposed to Agent Orange during his tours of duty in Vietnam. This almost certainly resulted in myelodysplastic disease which he suffered from for years. This morphed into acute leukemia, the ultimate cause of death.
Sandy was greatly influenced by Professor Blum. He, too, became a PhD and taught military history at several venues.
Sandy co-edited with Mike Samuels “A Hundred Voices” celebrating our 50th Reunion.
An obituary is not available at this time.
Condolences can be sent to his wife, Ally: Mrs.Alice Cochran 18Wellington Road, Alexandria, V. 22308.
Regands,
Chum Geissinger
