Robert Hasbrouck Prall, Jr., M.D. 65, of Cupertino passed away on January 27, 2005, with his son by his side. Rob was born in New Jersey on April 4, 1939. His parents, Robert Hasbrouck Prall, Sr., and Susan Jane Copeland Prall, preceded him in death. He was a devoted and loving father to Jonathan Hasbrouck Prall and Sarah Darden Prall and father-in-law to Aimee Prall and Roxanne Dobosz. Jonathan and Aimee Prall’s daughters, Lauren and Jennifer, knew and loved him as ‘Gramps.’
He graduated Yale University Magna Cum Laude in 1961. He also served in the Army for many years and achieved the rank of Colonel. Rob was a talented and celebrated urologist and contributed to the health and happiness of countless patients while serving for many years at the San Jose Medical Group.
Rob deeply valued relationships, education, and love, and he was the embodiment of integrity. He inspired many people to incorporate these values into their own lives. His contributions to society, his family, and his friends will be greatly missed.
He was an accomplished Scuba Diver, a classical music expert and aficionado as well as a master of the written language. He was able to consume New York Times crossword puzzles like salted peanuts at a ball game.
